Troubleshooting Protected WordPress Pages

Common checks when protected content is visible unexpectedly or Pro features are unavailable.

The protected page is still visible

  • Check whether your logged-in user role is allowed to bypass protection.
  • Test the URL in a fresh private or incognito window.
  • Clear WordPress, hosting and CDN caches.
  • Confirm the page protection setting was saved.

Child pages are not protected

  • Confirm the parent page is protected.
  • Confirm Also protect child pages is enabled.
  • Confirm PageProtectPro Pro is installed and the licence is active.
  • Check that the page is assigned as a child of the protected parent.

Pro features are unavailable

  • Confirm the Pro plugin is installed and active.
  • Check the licence status.
  • Re-enter the licence information if necessary.
  • Contact support if the issue continues.
